"Hello, my name is Daniel and I’m a mechanical engineering student at Cal Poly Slo. As an engineering major, I’ve done my fair share of math and have done pretty well. I was valedictorian at my high school and have been on Dean’s List every quarter of my college career.

Thanks to my experience and success in courses like algebra, calculus, physics and more, I’ve been able to help my fellow students as a tutor for the last 3 years. In high school I tutored junior high students in pre-algebra and algebra, as well as high school students in pre-calculus, calculus, and SAT math. This year, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a tutor at the Learning Resource Center at Cal Poly Slo, where I help students in calculus 1-4, general physics, and statics.

I very much enjoy working with students, and love helping you excel in your courses.

As a tutor, I believe in trying to go beyond just helping you finish your homework or cram for a quiz. My goal isn’t just to help you do the math, but to understand why the math works so that when you come across more complex problems later in your career, you’ll be able to tackle them confidently because of your strong understanding.
