"As a National Board Certified Teacher, I have taught the K-8 curriculum as well as Special Education for 25 years. The majority of my teaching career has been at the Middle School Level, grades 6-8 in Washington State. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Seattle Pacific University and my Master's degree from the University of Washington, Tacoma. The majority of my teaching career was in Washington State and relocated to Texas in 2021.

I believe that every child has the ability to learn regardless of age or disability. Some learn at their own pace, while others just need a little bit of help to keep up with their class. I have the proven ability to do both. Students learn in one-on-one environments, but generally do best when they are able to learn with their peers so they don't feel singled out. If kids don't feel a connection with you, they're not going to learn. Building relationships with students and parents is key, especially when the student feels frustrated about not being able to keep up with their peers.

Every child deserves to feel successful and confident in their abilities. Some just need more help to get there. I would love to be able to provide that for your child." less...
