"I am a National Board-Certified Teacher with more than thirteen years of classroom experience working with students from a wide range of cultural and academic backgrounds. I hold a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction and an endorsement to teach English Language Learners K-12. Over the years I have worked with students who were struggling below grade level as well as those ready for enrichment, and I have seen firsthand how personalized instruction can transform not only a student’s skills but also their confidence and motivation. My background includes teaching in Title I schools where I focused heavily on reading, writing, and math foundations, and I am passionate about helping students make real, measurable progress.

When I tutor, I take a highly individualized approach. I begin by getting to know each learner’s strengths, challenges, and goals, then I tailor lessons to meet them where they are and help them move forward step by step. I incorporate strategies that make learning engaging and accessible, whether that means breaking down complex math concepts, guiding a reluctant reader toward fluency, or helping a student organize and express ideas in writing.
