I'm a native Spanish speaker. I can tutor ESL and Spanish for an affordable price.

I've been tutoring for over 5 years. I worked as a teacher assistant in the US (children 6 weeks-12 years) and worked as an ESL teacher assistant in Mexico. I have tutored children starting at 6 years old, middle school, high school, college and adults (Spanish, ESL, and math).

I went to high school in Mexico and hold an Associate's degree in Accounting in the US. I am also TESOL and ELE certified to teach Spanish and English as a second language.

I believe the best way to learn a new language is by listening and practicing with native speakers. That's how I became fluent in English (I did go to school but informal conversations and practice was how I learned the most).

On my experience working with younger children I believe we can learn a new language the same way they do. It's easier when learning is fun and interactive.

I like to use a combination of the natural approach and the grammar-translation approach to tutor Spanish. The natural approach mimics the process by which children learn their native language. It focuses on listening and speaking at first. The class is usually taught in the target language. The grammar-translation approach focuses on writting and grammar and the native language is used to translate vocabulary.
