"I am a native of Lima, Peru with a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Language Education (Spanish) (K-12) and a Master's of Education in Adult Learning-Secondary Education (Spanish). I also have a Bachelor's Degree in International Business. My expertise comes from teaching Spanish to Middle and High School students as well as teaching Spanish at the University level. I also have experience tutoring Spanish to Elementary, Middle, High School, and University students as well as adults. In addition, I have practical knowledge tutoring AP Spanish as well as tutoring students taking the International Baccalaureate (IB) Spanish Curriculum. Plus, I posses editing, proofreading, and translating skills.

My passion for teaching Spanish comes from enriching the lives of my students through language and culture. Throughout the years, I have been very fortunate to have worked with some great students who are now life-long learners of Spanish. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to make a difference in the life of those that need my help and I find this type of experience extremely rewarding.

My professional experience includes but is not limited to promoting the use of the target language inside and outside of the classroom by using real life context; emphasizing the usage of proper grammar and pronunciation of the target language, taking into consideration the linguistic and sociolinguistic capabilities and prior knowledge of each student; creating learning incentives that offer the students opportunities to think not only about the language itself, but also about the acquisition process; utilizing technology base activities that foster and improve language skills; and incorporating strategies and teaching styles that enhance and simplify the learning process while promoting cultural enrichment.
