"Hello, I'm Nadia! I am a native Russian speaker with MA in Linguistics, Teaching and Translation from the International Slavic Institute (Moscow, Russia). I have been tutoring students in Russian and English since 2002. In addition to my degree, in February of 2024, I completed TESOL/TEFL teacher training and certification which included Teaching Business English and Teaching English to Young Learners. I teach all levels of Russian and English. Over the years, I worked as an accountant, a dance instructor, and a tech startup market researcher which gives me very diverse terminology knowledge in all these industries. If you are looking to improve your conversational fluency in either Russian or English, I would converse with you on a variety of subjects to ensure you have the proper vocabulary on any given topic.

Russian tutoring

Russian is a complicated language and it requires a lot of practice to achieve fluency. I teach via a communicative approach which means that I pay extra attention to working on conversational skills, making sure students feel comfortable with applying the language they have learned right away. Using materials such as movie clips, cartoons, and short stories, I strive to keep the lessons interesting and engaging to students and immerse them not only in the language but also in the Russian culture.

English tutoring

If you are looking to learn or improve your English and you are a Russian speaker, I can teach English to you in Russian. If you are not a Russian speaker, I also teach English via English as a second language method which involves breaking down complicated concepts into simple pieces and teaching them in English to non-English speakers.
