"I am a nationally certified Medical Assistant through NCCT with nearly six years of clinical experience in women's health, family medicine, and urgent care. I also hold a Limited X-Ray Technician license and have mastered memorizing and performing hundreds of x-ray studies. My background includes strong knowledge of X-ray positioning and imaging basics, which allows me to support students who are learning radiology fundamentals alongside their medical assisting coursework. In addition to my clinical experience, I am certified as a BLS and First Aid instructor, giving me a well-rounded foundation in both patient care and medical education. These combined skills allow me to confidently tutor students preparing for NCCT and NHA certification exams as well as those needing support in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and clinical skills.

For the past five years, I have taught both high school seniors and adult learners in classroom and lab settings a Medical Assistant instructor. My teaching approach focuses on one-on-one support, real-life application, and the use of visual aids and clear examples to help students understand complex concepts. I work toward helping students reach a point where they can confidently teach skills or concepts back to me or their peers, because this demonstrates true comprehension. I use positive reinforcement to build confidence and reduce anxiety, especially for students who may feel overwhelmed by medical material.

Much of my instructional experience has taken place in the lab, where I have spent extensive time guiding students through hands-on clinical skills and reinforcing proper techniques.
