"I enjoy tutoring in that I can help others who may need assistance to understand some of the more difficult concepts in Chemistry. Unlike Physics and Biological Sciences, Chemistry has a lot of components that at an early level do not look like they are connected; students often cannot see the wood for the trees until they have studied for several years.

The fundamental background of Chemistry relies on quantum mechanics which is often not taught until the student is a long way on their path. However, understanding Chemistry, even for people who ultimately work in other fields, is critical for understanding the modern world.

I have a Ph.D. in computational chemistry from the University of Manchester (in the UK) and taught a graduate class in computational geosciences at the University of Oklahoma. My Ph.D. thesis involved studies of transition metal complexes. Following my Ph.D. I was a postdoctoral associate at the University of Georgia as well as Wake Forest University in North Carolina. I also have a J.D. from the University of Denver, I specialized in Intellectual Property law.
