"Hi, I have over 25 years in IT. I have an extensive background in the tech field with expertise in computer networking and general computer knowledge. One of my main skills is explaining complicated topics to both technical and non-technical audiences. I have trained and mentored many engineers during my career and have given training to engineers in groups as large as 30.

I can help you to understand basic computers/smartphones to complicated networking and security. In my spare time, I have built my own VPN service for private use.

My own educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and an MBA focused on IT Management. I've specialized in Networking and have many different industry certifications from Cisco, HP, Fortinet and others. I also have expertise in Cybersecurity and have been certified (CISSP) since 2005.

My recent tutoring experience includes providing training to other companies as part of my consulting work and training both their technical staff and non-technical staff.

Some of the training included security training on how to keep yourself safe from hackers both at work and at home. This includes reviewing software, and hardware and protecting yourself from social engineering.

I have worked with various age groups including high school students, college students, and recent college graduates all the way to seasoned workers with 30+ years of experience.

My tutoring style includes the use of video conferencing mixed with PowerPoint. I do my best to give a visual experience and try to break down complex topics by giving real-world examples instead of referring to textbooks and articles all the time. I believe in learning by actually doing something instead of just reading about it. I like to use screen shares where the user can try it themselves with my assistance.
