"Hi, I'm Taylor! I am a second-year neuroscience postdoctoral fellow who is passionate about aiding students in reaching their full academic potential through personalized, consistent mentorship. In 2018, I received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. That fall, I began graduate school at Drexel University College of Medicine where I earned my MS and PhD in Neuroscience in 2020 and 2023, respectively.
While specializing in STEM courses, I also have a deep passion for college/graduate school admissions counseling, specifically in essay and personal statement writing. In my third and fourth years of graduate school, I served on our Admissions and Recruitment Committee, developing deep insight on the criteria and qualities that distinguish outstanding applicants. Further, I have served as a personal statement mentor to five students, all of whom were accepted into graduate school on their first application cycle. Combined with my personal experience navigating admissions cycles, these roles equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of how to become a standout applicant and successfully secure admission to top programs.
Outside of admissions counseling, I enjoy tutoring in various subjects. I currently tutor Algebra I and Geometry, and I am also very well-versed in Biology, Psychology, and Neuroscience. In terms of research, I am highly trained in thesis and manuscript writing, experimental design and execution, and in data analysis.
My approach is patient, engaging, and tailored to each student. I take the time to understand individual learning needs, explain concepts clearly, and build confidence at a comfortable pace. I enjoy adapting to different learning styles and would be honored to support you in reaching your academic goals." less...
