"I have had a variety of different tutoring and teaching experiences over the years. In high school, I tutored my friends in math. In college, I started as an engineering student, in clubs that taught SAT workshops as well as just mentoring middle school and high school students, encouraging them to take interest in math, science, and engineering fields. I also tutored fellow engineering students in our math classes.

When I switched my major to mathematics, I became part of a teaching fellowship for math and science called CTFMS. While completing my undergraduate degree in mathematics, I worked in middle school and high school mathematics classrooms, helping students, and teaching lessons in both algebra and geometry.

I taught math at my former high school as part of an internship program in California, teaching Algebra 1a, Algebra 1, and Geometry as well as the math portion of the academic decathlon class. I then moved to Arizona to join the TEAMS program at Arizona State University, a master's and credentialing program for students going on to teach math and science at middle schools or high schools. I have tutored students in algebra 3-4 and pre-calculus since moving to Arizona, as well as student taught 7th grade math, honors geometry, and pre-calculus.

In 2012, I took on a long term substitute position, teaching 8th grade math, algebra and geometry. In 2013 I taught 7th and 8th graders algebra and geometry.

In 2013, I was a math interventionist at a middle school teaching students that fall far below the basics, as well as a tutor at a high school working with students trying to pass the math portion of AIMS. This current year, as well as in 2014 I have taught all high school math classes in schools working with at risk youth.
