"Hi! I'm Neal and I’m a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I made the Dean’s List and hold teaching certificates in engineering, math, STEM, and foreign languages, along with certifications in real estate and Python programming. I’ve worked in the engineering and finance industries, but what has always stood out to me is how much I enjoy helping students learn. Whether I’m guiding someone through a tough concept in circuits, preparing them for a test, or helping them gain confidence in math, I find real joy in supporting their growth. I believe the best learning happens when students feel heard, supported, and challenged just enough—and that’s what I aim to bring into every session.
I’ve taught in classrooms for over five years, mostly working with high school and college students between ages 10 and 25. In the classroom, I made it a priority to understand each student’s learning needs. I’d group students based on their skill levels—some needed targeted support, so I’d work with them on fundamentals and confidence-building. For more advanced learners, I designed enrichment work and deeper challenges to keep them engaged and progressing. I also held tutoring sessions after class for additional help, which often made the biggest impact. Outside of school, I have over ten years of one-on-one tutoring experience with students and professionals in academic and industry settings.
I truly care about every student I work with. I try to be approachable, flexible, and encouraging in every session. Whether we’re working on math, physics, electrical engineering, coding, or conversational French or Spanish, I adjust to each student’s pace and goals. I welcome feedback from students and parents, and I’m always happy to adapt my teaching to fit what works best." less...
