"I'm the author of sixteen (and counting) published novels and for more than twenty-five years I've been tutoring students in creative and academic writing, including admissions essays, creative works, and analytical essays. Nothing excites me more than helping a student find his or her voice on the page! I've helped high school students get into some of the nation's top colleges, as well as assisted premeds and physicians applying to medical schools and residencies.

I'm a graduate of Wesleyan University (graduated with honors) and Harvard Divinity School. At those institutions, I studied writing with authors as distinguished as Annie Dillard and Amy Bloom. I'm also a serious reader (one year I read over 130 books), and, when a student myself, really shined in my English classes, including getting a 5 on the AP English Literature and Composition exam. I'm such a literary nerd, I've even been the member of a number of Jane Austen and Sherlock Holmes literary societies.
