I was accepted into all the UC's I applied to, including Berkeley's College of Chemistry, yet I went with Long Beach due to an NIH research grant I was offered. I have worked as a college campus tutor, private tutor, teacher's assistant and as a research assistant in biochemistry, organic chemistry, and biology laboratories. My lab experience makes a big difference for my students learning process.
I believe the most important qualification a tutor can have is a passion to help students. I live for those epiphany moments where my students are able to understand a new concept they have struggled with. I like to genuinely connect with and help students and their families, so that they can reach their career goals.
