"I have been a RN for 22 years and have been teaching nursing students for 10 years at the RN and LPN levels. I have tutored students for 6 years both in-person and virtually. I am passionate about teaching and helping students to become safe and competent nurses! I'm known for my nurturing personality and my students refer to me as 'Mama Brandy.' Lol. Helping students to connect the dots and apply their knowledge to patient care is very rewarding for me, like watching my kids play on Christmas morning!

I teach both novice and senior level nursing students in the classroom, lab, and simulation. While I love teaching in these settings, due to the number of students and time constraints, it is difficult to do much remediation/tutoring on-on-one or even in small groups. I have a very nurturing personality and enjoy helping students either one-on-one or in small groups because the teaching/learning process is more personalized and enhanced. I have a Master's degree in nursing education, and I'm a certified nurse educator (CNE) as well as a certified healthcare simulation educator (CHSE).
