"I hold a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Queens College. I am certified to teach mathematics in grades 7–12 with an additional extension for grades 5–6 in New York State. I currently teach 8th grade math and Algebra 1 with the NYC Department of Education. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with students in grades 6 through 9, both in classroom settings and one-on-one, helping them strengthen foundational math skills and prepare for critical exams like the Algebra 1 Regents. In addition to teaching, I serve as a part-time cheerleading coach, which allows me to build strong connections with students beyond academics and helps me support their overall confidence and motivation.

My approach to tutoring centers on building confidence, reducing math anxiety, and showing every student that they are capable of understanding and succeeding in math. I recognize that many students struggle not because of ability, but because of a lack of confidence or negative past experiences. I aim to create a patient, supportive environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and growing.
