"Hello! My name is Alana Tashjian. I graduated in 2007 from the Art Institute of Boston, studying Fine Arts and Art History. Since then, I have been a licensed art educator (MDESE Certified) for over 15 years for all ages: adults, teens, kids, and everyone in between. Currently I teach adults and highly motivated teens. The goal is always for my students to start making art as a regular practice, learning artist's fundamentals & the process behind creative thinking, and creating work they can be proud of. During my last two years teaching AP Art, I have sent many of my high school age students off to top art universities across the US, including RISD, SAIC, UCLA, SCAD, Columbia, and more!

I am open for online classes in many areas, such as:

- Project-based technical modules tried & tested in my own artwork and classroom, including: Sketching fundamentals, charcoal drawing, watercolor painting, digital art (Photoshop, Procreate), figure drawing & basic anatomy, portraiture, acrylic painting, animal sketching, design fundamentals, etc.

- A class customized to your own needs: What do YOU want to learn about art?

- One on one art consultations: How best to improve your artwork that you are in the midst of creating? (Includes digital Paint-Over and critique)
