"A former professor, I taught general and organic chemistry at the university and community-college levels for over 20 years. While an "A" student in general chemistry, I actually struggled in organic chemistry! "A former professor, I taught general and organic chemistry at the university and community-college levels for over 20 years. While an "A" student in general chemistry, I actually struggled in organic chemistry! After barely passing the first part of organic chemistry with a grade of "C", I proceeded to make a 13/100 on my first exam in the second part of organic chemistry. That is not a typo! "This class is the worst class ever", I told myself. With nowhere left to turn, I decided to teach myself organic chemistry and informed my professor that I would only be attending class on exam days. A couple of days after taking my second exam, my professor asked me what I had been doing differently. After telling her, she said to me, "Whatever you are doing, keep doing it!" I had received a 90/100! The third test and final exam were A's as well!
After doing the impossible, I changed my major from chemical engineering to chemistry so that one day I could obtain my PhD in organic chemistry so that I could teach students the secrets to learning organic chemistry! That is why I love to teach the subject and that is why I love to tutor students.
While usually brilliant, the majority of organic professors are very poor teachers because they do not take the time to break concepts down in layman terms. I know the struggles and pain associated with learning those organic concepts. I am in the business of helping you earn top grades on your assessments and to keep your attention and confidence high throughout the semester so that you can crush this class on your own!" less...
