"I have an MSN with specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Currently I am working as an Orthopedic NP working both in the clinic setting as well as sub-specializing as a surgical first-assistant. I have approximately 3 years experience as a practicing NP. Prior to my current practice, I was an ER RN for nearly 6 years working at a level 2 trauma center just south of Chicago. I genuinely miss working in the ER setting, but the burnout from covid was very real. During my time in the ER I also worked as a pre-hospital RN in the EMS world. My initial interest in medicine started from my 10 years of experience as a part-time fireman and having had multiple sports related injuries and surgeries.

Me personally I am about as laid back as can be, but I have always strived for excellence. My undergraduate peers voted me as Outstanding Student of the Year at Northern Illinois University where I completed by undergrad studies. I graduated from Olivet Nazarene with my MSN, with Summa Cum Laude Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I have precepted and trained countless ER RN's, paramedic students, EMT students etc. I really enjoy teaching and spending time with students.
