"My name is Joe! I am a 2nd year Osteopathic Medical Student who thoroughly enjoys working with students to explore resources, develop study strategies and habits, and ultimately succeed in studying medicine. In my prior life before medical school, I conducted epidemiological research using biostatistics, and also worked as a medical scribe.

One of my preferred strategies to working with other medical students is to play to prior experiences and strengths to make connections with the content they are learning now. I am also adept at navigating 3rd party resources and combining elements to ensure solid synthesis of concepts. I take a very analytical approach and dissect exam results with meticulousness to evaluate if certain resources and study habits are succeeding, and if they aren't, what we can do to improve them.

I have tutored over two dozen first and second year medical students and I am happy to add more to the fold. I hope that I can make the process of learning enjoyable, and moreover, hopefully teach an approach that helps set good habits for studying and learning beyond pre-clinical courses." less...
