"Hi I’m Bibbin – I have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University. I have been in the engineering field for over 10 years and have held a plethora of engineering positions including manufacturing, quality, and design engineering.

Engineering is a field where you constantly learn new things and develop a mindset that thinks “How can I make this work better? Smoother?” Basically, it helps the mind to learn how to put the pieces together in an efficient manner. I am passionate about teaching people the knowledge that I have picked up along the way in my career. If I have learned new things that help me, why not share them?

I can say for sure that one of the skills that I have picked up along the way and have taught myself to use efficiently is Microsoft Excel. Over the 10 years I have been working, I can’t remember many days when I didn’t have to use Excel for a project. I started off with the most functionalities to now using complex nested IF statements on a regular basis.

I have taught many of my coworkers in my current job how to use Excel so that they can incorporate it into their daily workflow. Since then, I have noted that many of them have benefited from the knowledge and have been able to organize their data better and maximize their efficiency.

I generally cater my teaching style to the needs of the students and am flexible in the way that I present the information. If a student is unsure, I can incorporate different learning methods to see which style has a better response. Most of the time, I would show somebody how to use the different functions in Excel and I would then have them try it on their own to combine the visual knowledge they obtained before with muscle memory.

I know how to break down difficult concepts so it's easier to understand and learn. I would like to help you reach a point where you could do the same.
