"I hold a Master of Education with a major in Curriculum and Instruction and a concentration in Bilingual education from Arizona State University. I have a BA in Modern Languages (Spanish, French, English) from the university of Caldas in Manizales, Colombia; I also hold a Reading Recovery certificate from Phoenix, Arizona.

I have over twenty years of teaching experience Spanish in Colombia and in the United States. I have experience teaching Spanish all the way from preschool through college. I try hard to help my students succeed and learn in my classes.

I am a second language learner myself, and that helps me to understand better how difficult and intimidating learning a second language may be. I make my students feel confident enough to engage in conversations, and I can help nearly anyone learn enough Spanish to pass their required language courses.
