"I worked for nearly 25 years for the local school district as a Para Educator at an elementary school. I was forced to retire in 2013 due to health problems.

During this time, I worked with students both in Special Education and regular education. My comfort level is working with students in grades K-8 in reading, math, and writing. This includes spelling along with proper punctuation. I have very strong math skills in elementary math level. I also have extremely strong grammar, spelling, and writing skills at the elementary school level.

I also had 5 students that I worked with each week. I saw two of the students twice a week. I spent time with these students working on reading, math, writing, spelling, and language arts. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology, and a master's degree in elementary educational studies. In addition, I attended Grand Canyon University seeking first a degree in Professional Counseling and then second, a degree in Psychology.

My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable and safe. I want to be able to use my many resources and teaching styles to help students succeed in all subjects." less...
