"Hi I am Carrie, a passionate elementary teacher with 17+ years of experience. I would love to have the opportunity to support your child's needs. I have taught multiple grade levels (1st through 6th grade) as well as providing tier 1, 2 and 3 literacy support as an RTI provider and Reading Specialist. I am a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who is positive, flexible, and accommodating. I am committed to fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning, in every student I teach.

I am passionate to provide my students with an engaging and active learning environment. I thrive on building positive relationships with each of my students and their families, to ensure I get to know how to best support them academically, emotionally and socially. I plan my instruction to foster each students’ ability to develop and appreciate our diverse social and cultural perspectives.

Through the use of technology, manipulatives, and inquiry based instruction, I have been successful in motivating students to become involved learners. I support students through interdisciplinary teaching as they develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, and build self confidence.
