Born in Brittany, France, and I am a tenured professor, passionate about teaching !

My background in FLE (teaching French as a Foreign language) and passion for Francophone Literature have brought me teach hundreds of students at all levels, including at the Alliance Française of Cork (Ireland), the Institut Français in London (UK), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Grinnell College and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

I am patient, friendly and resourceful and will help you elevate your French by helping you think (and dream!) in French.

In addition to French language, culture and literature classes, I am also specializing in AP French. If you are a francophile high school student preparing for the AP exam but don’t quite know where to start, I am here for you. We will work together so that 1) you can tackle AP French as a rewarding challenge that will boost your speaking confidence and have you “think in French” by 2) dramatically improving your listening and essay writing skills while you 3) gain insight into French and francophone culture so that you can 4) succeed at the exam and get into the College of your dream.

I will help you make grammar your friend and help you analyze texts more deeply so that you can craft your own powerful essays in French.

Of course, I would love to introduce you to French cinema, songs, art and cuisine! Whatever your passions, we can explore them in French so that you can reach your goals of becoming more fluent !
