"Hi, I am Jared W. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 2019. During my time at RIT I was a research assistant working under George Thurston, for whom I designed, performed and analyzed microrheological experiments on components of the human vitreous (eyeball). Additionally, I worked as a teachers assistant in calculus-based physics classes, where I worked alongside professors in a workshop-style classroom setting, assisting with classwork, labs, and grading quizzes.

I have 5+ years of one on one tutoring experience in most common subjects (Math, Science, English, Social Studies). I have worked with students with ages ranging from 12-25, from middle school all the way to seniors in college who desperately needed to pass a physics class to graduate. Not only do I tutor students in school, but I also work as a chess coach for after school programs (grades K-5), and I teach multiple instruments (guitar, bass, piano, percussion).

I focus on building confidence with my students, and helping them realize that they are totally capable in understanding whatever material they are covering.
