"I am a dedicated math and science tutor with a strong academic foundation as a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics with honors at Towson University. I have completed advanced coursework including Calculus I, II, and III, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Data Structures and Algorithms, Physics, and Chemistry — earning A grades in all these courses. In addition to my formal academic training, I have won several awards, including the Differentiation and Integration Bee at Towson University (twice), the National Science and Math Quiz in Ghana, and the Sharks Quiz for Math (2022).
My tutoring experience spans over three years and includes working at Mathnasium, Kumon, and peer tutoring programs at both Towson University and Hood College. I have taught a wide range of students, from elementary school to college level, helping them improve in subjects like algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry, and general science. I have worked one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom settings, tailoring my methods to meet each student’s needs.
In addition to formal tutoring, I founded the JoshJr Foundation, where I volunteer by tutoring students from developing schools, introducing them to technology, and teaching them fun and useful math tricks. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, clear steps, using real-world examples, interactive exercises, and personalized explanations. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and achieve their academic goals. I look forward to creating a customized learning plan to help you succeed!" less...
