"Hi, I'm Connor! I am an experienced music production teacher operating out of my treated home studio in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia. I have many years of experience as a music producer and have an advanced understanding of modern music production skills and technologies. I offer specialized tutoring in the areas of mixing, mastering, song composition/arrangement, sound design, audio manipulation, and audio engineering. I am also a musician with diverse musical experience spanning many genres, with focus in the areas of experimental electronic music, hip hop, drum and bass, psychedelic rock, indie, metal, and pop. I release and perform music under the alias Shapesift.

I work with students of all skill levels, from the active music producer to those who have never opened a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) before. My primary DAW is Ableton Live, and I have experience with many other DAWs including Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Fruity Loops, Cubase, Reason, Reaper, Bitwig, Studio One, VCV Rack, and Maschine. I am also experienced in synthesis and sound design using analog modeling synths, modular synthesis, advanced audio effect chains, and related tools.

I will work with you in your chosen software and with your own equipment to help you gain competence with your own materials. For remote lessons, I use Zoom with Screen Share and Remote Control, which allows me to work directly with you within your own projects if desired. I also teach from my own projects depending on what will work best for a given lesson and what is preferred by the student. I use Audiomovers to share high-fidelity stereo audio, allowing my students and I to hear hi-fi audio together in real time.
