I believe in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed. My approach combines structured literacy programs like Orton-Gillingham and Fundations with engaging activities that make learning both effective and enjoyable.

Experience and Expertise

With a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from Mercer University and 14 years of teaching experience, I am dedicated to fostering a love for learning in young students. Currently, I teach first grade in a Metro Atlanta public school, where I serve as the English instructor in a Dual Immersion setting, guiding 50 eager learners.

Leadership: As the lead teacher for first grade, I collaborate with colleagues to implement curriculum and promote positive reinforcement strategies.

Specialized Training: My certifications in Orton Gillingham, Fundations, Write-Score and Writing Without Tears equip me to address diverse learning needs and enhance writing skills.

A Personal Touch

Born in Mexico and immigrating to the U.S. at age seven, I bring a rich cultural perspective to my teaching. Inspired by a fourth-grade teacher who saw potential in me, I am passionate about helping students recognize and achieve their own potential.
