"Hello! My name is Brandi, and I am a New York State certified teacher for grades K–6. I graduated from Sacred Heart University with a degree in Criminal Justice but quickly realized that my true passion was working with children and helping them learn. That led me to earn my Master’s degree in Childhood Education from Pace University. Since then, I have gained valuable classroom experience in a variety of roles, including intern, substitute teacher, leave replacement, and now Teacher Assistant, while actively pursuing a full-time teaching position.

From a young age, I have loved working with children—whether through babysitting, daycare jobs, or now in the classroom. Each of these experiences has shaped me into a patient, supportive, and adaptable educator who believes every student can succeed with the right guidance.

As a tutor, I specialize in reading, writing, elementary math, study skills, and test preparation. My teaching approach is individualized, engaging, and confidence-building, using hands-on strategies and step-by-step support tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I aim not only to help students strengthen academic skills but also to build motivation and self-confidence.

I ask for a 8- 24 hour cancellation notice for all scheduled sessions. Policies will always be reviewed and confirmed by email before lessons begin.
