"Science can be a complex and overwhelming subject for many people. Breaking material down into easy-to-understand lessons is something I am passionate about so that everyone can enjoy the same fascination I have about the world around us. With over 8+ years of experience teaching high school, middle school and tutoring, I have worked with students from all backgrounds and learning levels. Most of my experience has been working with international and MLL students at the middle and high school levels. Through these experiences, I have developed a wide array of strategies and approaches when working with students where patience and using relatable real-world examples are essential. With an extensive background in wildlife studies and fieldwork, I also use fun and engaging examples of their surroundings to build confidence in the material.

Creating a productive learning experience begins with understanding the student's interests, strengths, and struggles. Using this information, I create individualized lessons where students can relate the material to their own life experiences. These lessons aim to be hands-on while using easy-to-understand visual aids. Each step is walked through until the student is proficient and confident in their abilities before proceeding to the next step.
