"I am a dedicated educator with over 25 years of experience teaching 1st–3rd grade students, including 12 years in first grade. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed teaching all subjects, but I am especially passionate about literacy. For the past five years, I have incorporated the Science of Reading model into my instruction, using research-based practices to give young learners the essential tools they need to become confident, successful readers.

I believe every child can learn to read, and I love discovering the approach that works best for each individual learner. Whether through phonics, hands-on activities, or creative strategies from my “bag of tricks,” I find joy in guiding students toward those breakthrough moments when reading begins to click. Watching a child gain confidence as they unlock the power of words has been one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching journey.
