I came to West Coast of United State 28 years ago and have been teaching Japanese at a local college.

I have been teaching through Wyzant for 4 years now. I have many great reviews from students. Many students have been successfully learning Japanese.

I teach a wide range of students, from beginning/travel Japanese to advanced business Japanese. I also specialize in teaching all levels of JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) preparation. I have many students at the highest level JLPT N1. If Karaoke, Japanese Drama, or Anime interest you, then we can have fun learning together.

Teaching is my passion! I love teaching! My teaching style is to have fun learning without stress. I cater my lessons to the individual student to meet his/her diverse interests and academic goals. I create simple formulas, so that difficult Japanese grammar is easy to understand. I respect student’s learning style with great patience. I strongly believe that repetition is key to mastering a language and try to impress this fact on students while retaining a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I am comfortable and have great confidence working with adult students (age 20 to 80 years old). I teach according to the students' speed and desire.

My schedule is quite flexible. I teach online only. Students can reach me wherever they live.

Cancellation policy:

A 24 hours advance written notice (Wyzant’s messaging system) is required to cancel or re-schedule any lessons. If students can not notify, then the full amount for the lesson will be forfeited.

Late Policy:

Please notify as soon as possible if you will be late. Students are expected to pay for the full lesson, regardless of how late they are. If students are more than 10 minutes late without notification, I won’t wait and students will be charged the full amount." less...
