"Hello, I'm Eric! I graduated with high honors and a cumulative 3.8 GPA (Bachelor's in Communication, Master's in Occupational Therapy) and have 8 years of tutoring experience, both in person and online. I have always found that students perform best when they are engaged and invested in their own learning. I collaborate with both students and parents during the initial session to establish expectations and goals, and create a tailored plan for an enjoyable and efficient learning journey. I will always go the extra mile and adapt the sessions to the student's needs, strengths, and weaknesses. I am adept at simplifying difficult concepts and explaining them in a relatable way. My goal is to make each lesson fun and engaging while giving the student ample opportunity to maximize their learning through progressive practice and scaffolding as needed. Through the use of Socratic questioning, real world examples, and varied teaching mediums, I ensure the student is well equipped to develop mastery over the material.
I have tutored kids of all ages, from as young as elementary age up to adults needing help with graduate exams. I have tutored everything from elementary/middle school math, algebra, geometry, SAT Test Prep, GRE Test Prep, psychology, economics, statistics, and more. I am trained in and currently teach a neurodevelopmental multisensory reading program for kids. I have many success stories among my past students. Some standouts include a 10th grader who improved his reading level from a 4th to 12th grade level in 8 months, a student with ADHD who improved his SAT score 290 points and gained admission to his dream college, and many others.
I am fully invested in my student's learning journey, and I always welcome any resources, feedback, and suggestions from the student or parents. I am easily accessible and respond quickly, and will always strive to exceed expectations. Please do contact me with any questions or to schedule lessons! I look foward to meeting you!" less...
