"Hi! I'm Arshi, a neurobiology major at UC Davis with a passion for both science and writing. I’ve tutored students online of all ages in English and Psychology. In high school, I earned 5s on both the AP English Language and AP Literature exams, and have a thorough understanding of the different styles of writing, analysis, and synthesis required for these courses. At UC Davis, I have completed upper-division coursework in biology, physiology, neuroscience, and writing-intensive research classes. Additionally, I have 3+ years of experience working in a neuroscience research laboratory, through which I’ve deepened my understanding of biology and neuroscience.

My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I aim to make complex topics feel manageable by breaking them into simple, step-by-step lessons. Whether outlining an essay, reviewing biology concepts, or building a study plan, I focus on clarity, encouragement, and growth.

For subjects like AP Literature, I help students build strong literary analysis skills—teaching them how to identify themes, analyze symbolism, and support their interpretations with textual evidence. I work with students to hone these tools so they can approach texts with more confidence and depth.

For my K–6 students, I focus on building strong foundations and deep understanding, since these core skills—especially in reading, writing, and science—will be built upon in later grades. I aim to make learning both clear and enjoyable.

For science-based courses, I emphasize conceptual understanding over memorization. I help students break down complex processes into manageable steps and connect what they’re learning to real-world applications.
