I’m an easygoing, passionate tutor with over ten years of experience through Wyzant and other institutions. Tutoring isn’t just a side pursuit for me—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I come to each lesson well-prepared and encourage students to share materials or questions in advance so we can use our time efficiently.

I take pride in helping students achieve measurable improvements. I’ve supported students in raising exam grades from a low D to a high B after just a few sessions, and I’ve helped students improve their quantitative GRE scores by 10 points or more through targeted practice and strategy refinement. Just as importantly, students consistently report feeling more confident in math, noting that I explain concepts clearly, remain patient and supportive, and give them space to struggle productively. I offer hints and guiding questions rather than answers outright, helping students build strong, independent problem-solving skills.

I hold bachelor’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Earth Science, and earned my PhD in Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences from Brown University in 2020, focusing on oceanography. I completed my postdoc at Princeton University, studying how natural climate variability influences coastal oxygen levels in the northern Indian Ocean.

My teaching experience includes supporting incoming college students in mathematics, teaching GRE quantitative prep, leading college-level oceanography courses for high school students at Brown, and co-teaching a Python seminar for juniors at Princeton.

I tutor a wide range of subjects in mathematics, Earth science, and climate science, and offer help with Dynamic Planet and Meteorology Science Olympiad preparation.
