"I’ve been a professional tutor for more than 15 years, and my passion for teaching began long before that. I hold a B.S. in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the University of Arkansas, and I attended the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA)—a two-year residential program offering college-level coursework. The professors’ enthusiasm for teaching and the uniquely challenging classes I experienced there inspired me to pursue tutoring.

As I advanced in my math studies, I realized that truly mastering the subject meant strengthening the fundamentals—and teaching others became the perfect way to do that. Over the years, tutoring has become far more than practice; it’s become something I genuinely love. I get to share a subject that has shaped my life while watching students experience those moments when concepts click and math reveals its beauty.

I’ve worked with over 1,000 students across a wide range of subjects, from pre-algebra to advanced college courses like differential equations, real analysis, and complex analysis. I’ve fully taught and designed complete curricula for homeschooled students, guided master’s students through their thesis work, and coached competitors preparing for AMC mathematics competitions. Whether a student is building foundational skills or tackling highly technical material, I tailor my approach to meet their exact needs. My top goal is always to help students look forward to our sessions—even if they don’t always look forward to the class or the homework. If I can make math feel a little more approachable, a little less intimidating, and maybe even enjoyable, then I’ve succeeded." less...
