"Hello, I'm Liam. I am a magna cum laude graduate of Binghamton University for a BS in Chemistry and BA with High Honors in Philosophy. I have also completed a Masters in Bioethics at NYU. I am currently working on a PhD in Philosophy at Syracuse University.

Learning has always appealed to me from a young age. I have tried to foster a keen curiosity and empowering sense of wonder both in myself and in the people which I interact with in the day to day. I try to digest as much interesting and complex information that I can to conceptualize and repackage it into easy to grasp material for those that also wish to foster this kind of curiosity. I always found that rote by rote memorization was the main roadblock to this open wonder which contains the true beauty of education; as such, I always try to connect what may seem abstract to something more concrete and applicable in order to allow students to connect with the material more. From this methodology, I hope to give the right tools and a blueprint to students to build the house themselves, instead of mechanically telling them how to get from one place to the next.

I have built up a lot of experience tutoring on Wyzant, and know how to prepare lessons tailored to suit your needs. I have also taught with the Institute of Reading Development, which allowed me to deepen my teaching practice, especially for online classes. Further, I have begun teaching independently as an instructor in philosophy at Syracuse University. I especially excel in breaking down complex concepts and connecting different ideas together into a coherent whole.
