"Hello, I'm Tanya! My recent experience includes working with the MBA students that have just started their graduate program without having any previous accounting classes. I've mostly tutored undergraduate students in the past, and have helped high-school students as well. My expertise is with the Cash Flow Statements, Inventories and the Foundations (Principles). My background includes over 25 years in Corporate Accounting and Finance. While I was obtaining my Bachelors of Science in Accounting from UTD, I worked as a full-charge bookkeeper for an insurance agency. This enabled me to better understand the nuts and bolts of the whole picture. I've graduated from UTD with Cum Laude, which was mostly the result of working hard on timely completion of my reading and homework assignments and great professors!

My tutoring experience started when I was in the 2nd Elementary School grade, when I was helping another student with her math homework and trying to explain the method to arrive at the answer. I've also provided many years of training accounting staff and non-technical staff.

Knowing math and Excel is very important in Accounting business world, as well as understanding the principles of it. It was putting myself into someone else's shoe at an early stage in my life which enabled me to help others to understand it better. Therefore, I'm very patient and in my method hope to teach you how to become more independent and analytical in finding the answers, as well as I will try to illustrate as much as possible with any examples I can come up with from my experience.
