"I lead over twenty project managers and their teams as a senior director in the federal government and I am an adjunct professor at Bowie State University. I am currently tutoring Elementary Math, Reading, and SAT preparation to over ten students ranging from 3rd grade to junior in high school. I care deeply about my students’ academic progress. I have been able to assist students in memorizing their multiplication tables and understanding under what circumstances to use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I have helped students improve their homework grades, test grades and their confidence. I have tutored deaf college students in advanced Excel. I am excited to take on new students, identify their needs and work with them to learn, learn, learn.

Over my thirty year career, I have successfully taught my staff, my customers and my 2 sons, both of whom have college degrees, various subjects. I am an outstanding teacher because I not only love to teach, I love to learn. I specialize in taking complex concepts and breaking them down into simpler concepts that are more easily understood. I LISTEN to my students’ thought processes and use that knowledge to help them understand the material.

My specialty areas are project management, math, Microsoft Office and English literature. I have a Bachelor’s degree from University of Pennsylvania (ivy league) in Math and English (double major) and a Master’s degree in Computer Systems Management from University of Maryland.
