"Hi, my name is John L and I have three degrees in Mathematics. I love to help people master

these difficult subjects and make progress in their academic journeys and careers.

I've been tutoring various Math subjects in a community college setting for 15 years, both one on one, and small groups, online and in person. I also taught for over two decades 100 level and developmental Math courses. I've had experience tutoring students from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities, from students with various learning disabilities to more advanced students. I use an active learning approach and style which I find most effective in making progress. I have a laid back non judgmental personality and am easy to work with, I'm a good listener.

I have a PhD in Mathematics, and have expertise in most areas of Math and many areas of Computer Science.

I have a great deal of experience with many technical subjects, including Excel, various programming languages, so I can help people in those areas as well. I have a great deal of expertise as well helping students to develop basic study skills, taking notes, reading and understanding textbooks, etc.
