"Hello! My name is Shawn, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Math at Christopher Newport University.

Through my experiences in middle and high school, I learned that success in a class often depends more on the teacher’s ability to explain concepts clearly than the subject itself. For instance, I was initially intimidated by AP Chemistry, but thanks to a great teacher, I not only enjoyed the class—I earned a 5 on the AP exam.

That experience shaped my belief that the right guidance can make all the difference, and it’s a mindset I bring to tutoring. I’ve worked as a tutor at my local community college for about a year, helping students in chemistry (up to Organic Chemistry 2), math (through Calculus 2), and university physics.
