"I’m a college graduate with a B.S. in Sociology and Human Development and hands-on experience coaching, training, and leading teams in fast-paced work environments. I’ve spent years breaking down complex information for coworkers and customers, and I bring that same patient, step-by-step approach to tutoring.
I work especially well with students who feel anxious, stuck, or discouraged. My goal is to help them slow things down, understand why a concept works, and build real confidence – not just memorize steps for one test.
In my previous roles as a manager and team lead, I trained new hires, created simple systems to keep people on track, and helped others stay calm and focused under pressure. That experience transfers directly into tutoring: I’m organized, encouraging, and I know how to meet students where they are.
What I can help with:
• Elementary & middle school math (basic math, fractions, pre-algebra)
• Algebra 1 (foundations, solving equations, word problems)
• Reading comprehension & writing (paragraphs, essays, grammar)
• Homework help & study skills (organization, planning, note-taking)
I currently work overnight, which means I’m available most mornings and early afternoons for online sessions. If you’re looking for a tutor who is reliable, down-to-earth, and focused on steady progress, I’d be happy to help." less...
