"Hi, I’m Nicole — a passionate educator with a focus on creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences. With a background working with students from grades 1 through 12, I specialized in helping upper elementary students thrive in subjects like reading, math, science, and vocabulary. Whether your child needs homework support or deeper understanding of key concepts, I bring a flexible, hands-on approach that encourages learning in a way that feels relevant and fun.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education with a concentration in Talent Development and hold additional certificates in Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and Leadership Studies. My background in education includes substitute teaching, small-group instruction, and leading STEM-based lesson plans at a learning center. During my time at the STEM learning center, I had the opportunity to design and teach hands-on classes in a variety of subjects, including ELA, Math, and Science (biological sciences, astronomy, chemistry, etc) and even specialized subjects like coding, robotics, and stop-motion. I believe in making learning practical and engaging by connecting lessons to real-world scenarios. I also love helping students develop a growth mindset — watching them gain confidence; those "a-ha" moments are one of my favorite parts of teaching.
When it comes to tutoring, I strive to make each session feel tailored to your child’s needs. Whether we’re tackling a challenging math problem, practicing reading comprehension, or exploring new scientific concepts, I like to use interactive tools and methods that keep students engaged. I’m also comfortable providing homework help for older students in subjects I’ve taught or to help reinforce concepts they’ve already encountered in class.
I’m excited to help your child grow academically and find success! Feel free to reach out to schedule a session or ask any question — I look forward to working with you." less...
