"Hi, I'm Ralph and I love to help people learn! My favorite subjects to tutor are Biology, Spanish, and English. I also enjoy Chemistry, Economics, and Mathematics. I have many years of experience tutoring people in these and other subjects. I am an avid reader, so I am often reinforcing my knowledge in various topics. Professionally, I have a Certificate in Healthcare Interpreting for Spanish, and I worked for many years as a field and laboratory scientist. I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Entomology. I enjoy learning about insects so much that I have three times won a national competition and an international competition in knowledge of insect biology. Insects are 80% of all animals, and are closely associated with many plants, so they are a critical component of most ecosystems. To properly appreciate this, entomologists must study all the subdisciplines of biology, including botany, ecology, evolution, and genetics.
