"My specialty for 19 years has been teaching writing one-on-one, but I have wide experience helping students and adults improve all aspects of their English. I tutored over 350 Microsoft international transfers and their family members as well as middle school students in the Seattle area 2007-2019.

Since moving to Florida in 2019, my focus has shifted to coaching students in Grades 2-12 to develop their writing and comprehension skills, often selecting topical prompts from history and current events so that they learn about the world around them as I guide them to strengthen their command of grammar, expand their vocabulary, and heighten the impact of their writing.

I assign weekly homework, and as we review it together in class, I give verbal feedback on grammar and wording choices and explain best practices for writing and studying. If the student is old enough to type and submit an assignment in a Google Doc, I enter detailed written feedback directly on the assignment.

I earned my BA in history from Indiana University-Bloomington. I hold an MSCI and an honorary doctorate from Maharishi European Research University (MERU) in recognition of the courses I have taken and taught in the field of development of consciousness and intelligence." less...
