"Teaching and learning are passions for me, and tutoring gives me an opportunity to share those passions with students and their families. I take time to get to know each student and how or she learns best so that tutoring sessions are useful and specialized. Many students need support outside of the traditional classroom environment, and I can provide content knowledge, motivation, organizational strategies, and specific teaching methods to help students achieve classroom success.

I am offering tutoring in English, grammar, literature, and writing. I'm also available for assistance with college essays and the entire college application process. In the past, I have had success with students who have been admitted to some of our best colleges and universities.

I have a B.A. in English from The College of William and Mary and an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia. I taught high school literature, writing, and grammar for eleven years in the public school system. Following that, I worked as an online college writing tutor for a private company. Currently, I work as an advocate in local school systems.
