Hi there! I’m Bhavna, and I love working with students—helping them not just understand what they read, but also develop the strategies to become confident, independent learners.

I hold an M.S. in Botany, and while my academic training is in science, my true passion lies in teaching. I discovered this while guiding my own kids, and later deepened it during my time at Kumon Institute. Since then, I’ve tutored students across grade levels on both tutoring platforms and through private sessions.

What I Teach-

Reading comprehension: understanding text, answering multiple-choice and free-response questions, and citing text evidence.

Writing skills: narratives, informative, and argumentative essays with strong structure and clear conclusions.

Language skills: grammar and mechanics for effective, polished writing.

Hindi: Conversational, reading, and writing.

A bilingual, studied Hindi as part of school curriculum and grew up in North India, I am well versed with the nuances of the language and its cultural context.

My Approach-

I bring the same structured, analytical mindset I used in science to my teaching—breaking skills into clear, manageable steps. I also make lessons engaging by connecting them to students’ interests and guide them toward independence by teaching strategies they can apply on their own.
