"Hi, I'm Nicole and I am a 35-year-old teacher who is currently getting her degree in education and a teaching license. Teaching and working with teenagers is my passion, my calling. I have taught English since 2014 to various people, adults and teenagers, classes and individuals. I tailor my lessons to my student's needs and interests. Usually I teach a class of teenagers, but I also love individual tutoring because it allows me to really help someone and connect to them, learn something new myself. I have tutored several teenagers in the past. My best experience was with a teenager in Prague. I worked with him 3 hours a week, working on writing, reading, speaking and test prep. He grew more confident and loved studying with me, and we also built a friendship. My boss at the time said that my students valued my ability to adapt lessons to their needs and interests, my flexibility and my enthusiasm.

English is my father language and I was exposed to it ever since I was conceived. My parents raised me bilingually, German and English. Every summer we spent in the States and from high school onward I studied English extensively, in school and privately. I knew I wanted to study it in College. I did. I majored in English (Master's) and as a minor I studied Spanish. I published a paper written in English about Rap and linguistics. I loved every part of my studies and was a straight A student. A lot of people tell me I sound Canadian, so I guess my dialectical accent is neutral.

I have taught ESL for 4 years in Prague and in Italy. In Prague I taught conversation to a class of high schoolers, and general tutoring and language lessons to individual clients (adults and teenagers). In Italy I taught ESL at a middle school. In the past I also tutored a few times. My students always said that I explain things very well and I bring a lot of enthusiasm to the table.
