"I am already certified to teach Language Arts and Social Studies by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. I have a Masters degree in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling and completed a teacher preparation program at Thomas University, Thomasville, GA. Currently, I am pursuing a second Masters degree in the field of Education specializing in Special Education. I have prior experience tutoring regular education, ADD/ADHD, and special needs students.

I am patient, kind, and knowledgeable about subject matters being tutored. I believe in encouraging and pushing students to their potential. I stay on the topic at hand and I am not easily persuaded by students to do otherwise. I am willing to be repetitive with students if this is what is needed in order to reinforce the learning process. I believe that all students can learn when they put forth effort.

When tutoring, I believe in being actively involved in the lesson/topic area students are pursuing. I usually ask students questions about the assignment or subject matter. I like for parents/guardians to be actively involved in the learning process. I may have questions for the parents/guardians regarding the student's grades or characteristics in order to gather a more accurate assessment of the student and the needs of the students.
